Statement of Beliefs
God, the Creator and Ruler of all, is the one true God. He exists eternally as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though three distinct persons, they exist as one God. Genesis 1:26-27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and co-equal with the Father, was fully divine and fully human. Virgin-born and sinless, He died for the sins of humanity and rose again to redeem and reign over all things. Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; Hebrews 4:15; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Timothy 6:15
The Holy Spirit, equal with the Father and the Son, resides with every believer from the moment of salvation. He is present and moving, making people aware of their need for Christ and endowing believers with understanding and guidance. John 16:7-15, 1 Corinthians 2:12
Humanity, though wrought by sin nature, was created to be the image of God on earth. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 51:5; Psalm 8:3-6
The Bible is God’s Word, written by man, through the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is wholly true and inerrant. 2 Timothy 3:16
Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received only through faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9
Eternity was designed to be spent either separated from God by sin, or with God through salvation and redemption. To be separated from God is hell but to be with Him is eternal life. God gives us eternal life through Christ and the believer is secure in that gift for eternity. John 3:16-18; John 10:29-30; Matthew 25:34-46; 1 John 5:11-12; Hebrews 10:10
